Limited company
A company is a legal entity formed to conduct business or other activities in the name of the association. Because it is incorporated it has a legal personality distinct from those of its members.
Sole Trader
Being a sole trader is the simplest way to run a business: it does not involve paying any registration fees. Keeping records and accounts are straightforward and you keep all the profits.
Partnership
In a partnership, two or more people share the risks, costs and responsibilities of being in business. Each partner is self-employed and takes a share of the profits. Usually, each partner shares in the decision-making and is personally responsible for any debts that the business runs up.
Construction Industry Scheme
The Construction Industry Scheme sets out the rules for how payments to subcontractors for construction work must be handled by contractors in the construction industry and certain other businesses.
